Hi.

I’m Annie!

SELF CARE.

SELF CARE.

Anyone else hear the words “self-care” and think “LOLZ when do I have time for THAT?! I have to cook and clean and pay bills and work and manage my life and family’s schedules and you must be kidding.👀👀”

I’ve been really trying to focus on short, simple rituals that make my brain feel less scattered, and routines that bring me peace.

But they have to be short because I have about 20-30 mins before a child will come find me 🤪🤪

HERE ARE SOME OF THE WAYS I’VE BEEN TAKING CARE OF MY MIND + BODY

  • 20 mins a day on my Pranamat. THIS HAS BEEN A GAME CHANGER FOR ME. For me, it’s most beneficial when I lay on the massage set, including the pillow, before bed or in the evening. It helps me fall asleep faster and the sleep feels deeper and more restful.

  • I love that I can take it anywhere to manage  pain, stress, sleeplessness, or anxiety. When I have back pain, or tight shoulders, it releases muscle-tension, knots, and spasms.

  • Tension headaches? BYYYYYYE.

  • When the massage spikes (they look like lotus flowers) come into contact with your skin, and you put pressure on them, it triggers a natural system of relief in the body. It stops aches and pains, and also improves blood and lymph circulation as well as the supply of oxygen and nutrients. It gets little tingly, and feels like your whole body is supplied with blood. I always feel better after I use it!

  • And a bonus, because this stuff matters to me - Pranamat is 100% ethically made in Europe, and 100% sustainable. It’s made from zero waste coconut fiber and buckwheat hulls, linen and cotton. Even the signature lotus spikes are made from medical-grade plastic that has a low-energy, low-water and low-emission footprint and is recyclable. They are constantly moving towards zero-waste processes and the box is made from biodegradable and recyclable materials. It’s made to last.

  • They have a 5 year warranty plus you can try it for 30 days to make sure you love it. (Andddd you will.)

GRAB ONE HERE!

+ Sage myself and my house. Grab your sage bundle and some crystals for your pockets, put a bowl under it, light it up and start saging each corner of all the rooms in your house. Then go outside and end with saging yourself! Let the negative energy go, and invite positive vibes only. I finish with white angelica on my crown.

  • 20 mins on the Peloton - I felt SO GOOD when I was doing this consistently. Then I fell off the wagon and need to get back on 😅😅

  • Grounding - get yourself outside, and plant those bare feet right on the grass or dirt.  Nothing will connect you with nature, and soothe your soul like being outside.  Let the air and sun sit on your face. Watch the trees move, and the clouds roll by, and just BE.  Even for 1 minute. <3

What are some of your favorite ways to bring yourself some stillness and peace?
